“9 things I learnt from 'The 5am Club' that no one ever talks about."(A guide to understanding life better)

    person turning book page

I love reading. After starting my blog, my reading capacity has accelerated much faster.
The favorite ones are self- help books. I am personally into them a lot.

So I have just completed “The 5am club” by Robin Sharma, the same author who wrote, “The monk who sold his Ferrari”.

I am following Robin Sharma for the last 2 months. I listened to his podcasts, read his book, watched YouTube videos. And I am deeply moved by his teachings.
The book “5am club” reflects the writer’s knowledge about “becoming successful” in the most catchy way.

Before moving to the 9 points, I would like to tell you about the book a little to my readers who want to try this book. (It’s worth trying)

WHAT IS THERE IN THE BOOK:

5am club is all about success strategies. But not like other success teaching books, it has been written with deeper facts. While reading the book you can relate to every single line.

You’ll feel like “ ohh my god, I was living with such a wrong perception. I never knew this, why the shows lead by successful leaders never talks about all this stuff”.
The author has shared his knowledge and experience along with the scientific proofs.

9 THINGS THIS BOOK TAUGHT ME WHICH NOBODY WILL EVER TELL YOU:

Each line of the book holds something to learn. But I here present to you the 10 most influential lines, which caught my attention.

1. Mistaking your limits:
The writer said -“ Don’t be mistaken to take the limits of your vision to be the limits of the world.” There’s a huge difference between what we think is real and what actually is reality.

It might be that people around you are compelling you to look at one side of the phenomenon. But it’s not so. You can and must choose what side of the world you want to and how to see.
"Your only limit is you".

2. Adopting a thinking pattern of others:
Believe it or not but we subconsciously develop thinking patterns from people who most influence us at an early age.

At a very young age our atmosphere, our surroundings leave a deep reflection. Then we act according to it. This personal story of ours gives us future results.

3. Winning at the most undesirable situation:
Never surrender too soon. Challenges come with great opportunities. The one who overcomes those challenges wins. Every challenge upgrades you into some one more experienced, more knowledgeable, more strong.

4. Working on one crucial thing will make you remarkable in others:
I cannot define this as good as Robin Sharma, so here I m copying his lines -
“ To double your income and impact, triple your investment on personal mastery.”

When you get good at one thing, your brain creates a chain by linking your learned skill with other new forming skills, making it easy for you to master it.

5. Importance of isolation:
You can never get done your most admirable work in the crowd. Isolation feeds creativity and knowledge. Many run from isolation, cause they want to run from themselves. Your mind is at its best when you are alone.

Blaise Pascal said, “ most of the man miseries arise due to his inability to sit quietly in a room by himself.”

6. Excuses breed no geniuses:
If there’s is something you have not done before doesn’t mean you can’t do it now. You can create new habits at any age, any time, any situation as long as you are desired enough to do it.

Keep evolving into someone better, someone who seeks success in each movement.

7. Believing in you:
The truth here is no one will believe in your ability to do great things until you first believe in your greatness and then put in the sincere efforts to achieve it.

We feel lost as soon as someone disrespects our potential. But rather we should be not caring for their actions and working on ours to change the beliefs of both.

8. Daily improvements breed great results:
By developing daily great awareness around yourselves and being concern about “ why it is that I do what I do” we will make better daily choices that will give better daily results.

Small insignificant improvements when done with consistency yield staggering outcomes.

9. True power :
The line I am going to tell you is personally my most favorite. It precisely tells what real power in a person seems.

“ The more powerful a person is, the less they need to promote it. And the stronger the leader is, the less they need to announce it.”

If you notice these points, you’ll find most of them are the ones that nobody ever discusses. But they play a crucial role in our lives. I know much better about these, we can do good work on them.
I can totally relate to #1,#3,#4,#6.

How I quit Social media for two years and learned "5" valuable lessons.

I did make a good decision when I quit Facebook two years ago. At that time I wasn’t even on WhatsApp and Instagram.  It was quite irresistible at the beginning but as a habit, I got used to it slowly. Why I quit social media?   I don’t like getting dependent on things and when I realized that Facebook has made me an addict, it was the only decision I wanted to make.   But there a few more reasons that not only I but many of you can relate. 1. Wasting a lot of my valuable time on screen.  2. Ruining my productivity.  3. Having distracted attention all day long. Why I didn’t control it?   In the beginning, I also tried to control my usage over social media like many others but it didn’t work.  And the reason behind it is, a little fascinating; Social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp are designed to be addictive.  You may not know but the Owners of these platforms spend millions of dollars researching what humans find ...

"Here's how , your 'friends' are effecting your productivity."

One morning you wake up and there’s a random song playing on your radio. You may not like that song at first, still as you heard this song again and again, on your way to an office or at the tea shop or anywhere.  It starts running in mind and later that day you found yourself humming that song. It's a very common thing to happen to most of you.   When we do something on repetition, our mind starts absorbing it.  This is the perfect example for you to understand that when you  spend too much time around unhealthy people, you become the same. " Unfortunately our mind doesn’t discriminate between good and bad as we develop habits, the results we get done." It is an old saying “  our friend circle defines who we are” .  Surrounding yourself with unhealthy people will never make you rise any higher.  It hardly matters how much you try to do something great, the ones around you will find a way to put you down.   As we grow up we lose many friends....
